Chinese Teens Shine at VEX Robotics World Championship
With fingers controlling the joysticks, eyes fixed on the field, and robotic arms precisely grasping, building—these focused and calm young operators are members of the RT Robotics Studio at Shuicheyuan Primary School, Chengguan District, Lanzhou.On April 30, 2026, the VEX Robotics World Championship wrapped up successfully in St. Louis, USA. The RT Robotics team from Lanzhou stood on the world' s top stage with solid skills, great teamwork and steady performance, making history and creating a glorious moment for Lanzhou' s youth!
The VEX World Championship is the world' s premier youth STEM event, officially recognized by the Guinness World Records for its scale. This year' s competition brought together elite teams from over 60 countries and regions. A total of 2,282 international teams competed, including more than 400 strong teams in the Elementary Division, making the contest extremely competitive.
On the field, the young team stayed calm and cooperative. With daily training and solid skills, they fought their way through and finally won VEX IQ Elementary Division Global Runner-up and Math Division Champion!
Behind the glory were countless after-school hours of practice, simulated matches and tactical teamwork. Those tough training days turned into confidence and strength on the competition floor.
