Bray is an international student from Chad. Today, he is going to be a "transfer student" for one day at a Chinese primary school.

Back in his country, most students go straight home after school. But in Chinese primary schools, there are many interesting clubs besides classes! The Yangfan Primary School he is visiting has 27 clubs—culture, art, sports, hands-on skills, you name it. The kids learn while having fun, and the campus is full of energy on club day.

This is his first club—the Traditional Chinese Medicine Club. As soon as he steps in, he is surrounded by the warm smell of mugwort.

The kids teach him step by step—sorting moxa, preparing paper, rolling moxa sticks. Young as they are, they are much more patient than he is.

If moxa sticks carry the warmth of TCM, Dunhuang clay painting is a thousand-year-old art at his fingertips.

First he smooths the clay board, traces the outline with carbon paper, then paints with mineral pigments. The colors last really long!

Dunhuang Boxing combines dance and martial arts from Dunhuang murals. It is a special club at Yangfan Primary School. Kids keep fit and carry on traditional culture through every move. No wonder everyone loves it!

At Yangfan Primary School, students take turns writing the school name every month. The best works are hung at the school gate. This tradition makes kids love calligraphy and feel confident.

Chinese primary school life is so colorful! These amazing clubs are not just about learning skills—they are about passing on culture.
